Special Collection for Syrian Earthquake Victims – Wednesday 22 February 2023

We are holding a special collection on Ash Wednesday 22nd March in support of the Salesians who are working on
the ground, supporting victims of the recent earthquake in war torn Aleppo

Testimony from Aleppo; 

“After the earthquake, hundreds of people went to the (Salesian) Youth Club fearing
new tremors. By evening there were about 450 people, half of them, children and elderly. Everyone tried to give a hand.  The youth leaders spent all day and night comforting so many frightened children”.           Zeina Chahoud, Youth Leader/Civil Engineer

Donation envelopes are available in our Church and can be returned though any collection. Cheques to be
made payable to ‘Monaleen Parish’.  You may also donate through our online ‘DONATE’ button and click on ‘Special Collection’

NOTE:  The entire collection from Ash Wednesday,  along with all envelope donations,  will be forwarded to the Salesian Mission
Office here in Ireland and then transferred to the Salesians in Aleppo.
